The method involves determining an identification medium of the patient for identification of the patient, and recalling the treatment units electronically stored and provided to the patient from a central server (20). An electronic or digital signature of the patient is read. The signature is assigned to the respective treatment unit for the identification of the patient. A selected treatment unit is determined and the signature of the selected treatment unit is assigned.
