<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game control device, a game program, a game control method and a game system, which highly amuse and allow a game player to play a game with a simple operation without getting the game player bored. <P>SOLUTION: The game control device (20, 30) executes a first match-up (i.e., individual competition) between player characters in response to an input at a communication terminal 10 (10a, 10b, 10c, ...), the player characters being associated with different game player IDs, and updates, based on the result of the first match-up, the ability values of the player characters associated with the different game player IDs.
