<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photocoupler allowing low height and reduction in the number of components. <P>SOLUTION: A photocoupler comprises a wiring substrate 1, an IR light-emitting device 60 bonded onto a surface 1a of the wiring substrate 1, and an IR light-receiving device 50 bonded onto the surface 1a of the wiring substrate 1 at a location spaced apart from the IR light-emitting device 60. On the surface 1a of the wiring substrate 1, a light-emitting surface 61a of a light-emitting part 61 included in the IR light-emitting device 60 and a light-receiving surface 20a of an optical filter 20 included in the IR light-receiving device 50 are faced to each other. Since the IR light-emitting device 60 and the IR light-receiving device 50 have the positional relation in the horizontal direction, not in the vertical direction, the height of the photocoupler can be reduced. Additionally, since light emitted from the light-emitting surface 61a is directly incident on the light-receiving surface 20a without using, for example, a concave reflection surface, it is not necessary to provide, for example, the concave reflection surface, thereby reducing the number of components. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
