<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that a conventional guidance apparatus transmits radio waves of a vertically polarized wave and a horizontally polarized wave to a target, receives signals reflected from the target and performs polarization signal processing of the received signals to detect a target signal having a different polarization characteristic from a clutter signal and track the detected target signal, but when sea waves include a plurality of periodicities, the polarization characteristics of clutter are made ambiguous; a clutter suppression effect by the polarization signal processing cannot be obtained; and the target signal cannot be detected. <P>SOLUTION: A guidance apparatus includes a polarization sharing antenna for simultaneously receiving a horizontally polarized wave and a vertically polarized wave and polarization detection processing, and when detecting a target signal from a clutter signal by the polarization signal processing, previously resolves frequency components of clutter by Doppler signal processing to reduce ambiguity in the polarization characteristics of the clutter.
