<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inhibit crosstalk from being generated when a three-dimensional image is displayed and also to avoid deterioration of brightness when a two-dimensional image is displayed. <P>SOLUTION: A polarization control filter 268 is arranged and installed so that the boundary between a polarization region 269a and a polarization region 269b is housed in a range of a red liquid crystal cell 272, a green liquid crystal cell 274 and a blue liquid crystal cell 276 in order in the vertical direction. When the three-dimensional image is displayed, black is displayed on a liquid crystal cell 2 positioned in the boundary between the polarization region 269a and the polarization region 269b of the polarization control filter 268 and an original right-eye image or left-eye image is displayed on the other liquid crystal cell. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
