<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized and low power-consuming current sensor that can also accommodate a large current. <P>SOLUTION: A current sensor includes a magnetic detection element 13 detecting a magnetic field to be measured that is generated by a current flowing through a current line 11; a cancellation coil 14 surrounding the magnetic detection element 13; and a cylindrical magnetic core 15 surrounding the cancellation coil 14.
