<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid ejection head that can improve liquid ejection characteristics by heating the ejected liquid to a desired temperature, and to provide a liquid ejecting apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid ejection head includes: a nozzle plate 48 in which a nozzle opening 47 that ejects the liquid is provided; a flow channel formation substrate 40 in which a pressure generating chamber 42 that communicates to the nozzle opening 47; a pressure generating means 11 that causes pressure change in the pressure generating chamber 42.
