<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly, smoothly and quietly carry out an appropriate height adjustment in a pillow, according to the postural change inexpensively with a simple structure and to enable further miniaturization. <P>SOLUTION: The pillow includes: a lower supporting member 2; a head-supporting member 3 which is disposed to be substantially parallel to the lower supporting member and on which the user's head H is laid; and a supporting mechanism 4, which is provided on the lower supporting member and supports the head-supporting member to be vertically movable, while maintaining the substantially parallel state. The supporting mechanism includes: mutually parallel slanted parts 6A and 6B wherein, the lower end parts are rotatably connected to the lower supporting member, and the upper end parts are rotatably connected to the head-supporting member, the slanted parts extending at an incline from the lower supporting part towards the head-supporting member; and an energizing means 7 having an energizing member that energizes the slanted parts via a wire material Y in opposition to the load which tilts same in the direction of incline.
