<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To relay a water discharge alert to a downstream area of a dam while restraining installations of a communication facility. <P>SOLUTION: In a water discharge alert relay system 1, a master station 2 is installed at a dam 6 or in a neighborhood thereof and transmits a warning sound to draw attention to a rise of a river 7 due to water discharge in accordance with an instruction operation of an operator before water of a dam lake 5 is discharged. Then, the master station 2 displays whether transmission of the warning sound is normal or abnormal depending on whether or not the master station 2 receives blowing information, indicating that a slave station 3d installed most downstream transmits the warning sound. A slave station 3 is sequentially installed along the river 7 within a range of the warning sound of the master station 2 or other slave station 3 existing upstream thereof. The slave station 3 transmits the warning sound downriver when the same receives the warning sound from other upstream station and a pilot signal of a prescribed frequency range included in the warning sound is maintained in a state higher than a prescribed level for a period longer than a prescribed time.
