Disclosed is a method for managing a wireless data terminal, including: saving wireless data terminal management software to a wireless data terminal; connecting the wireless data terminal to a PC; running the management software in the wireless data terminal for a user to manage the wireless data terminal; and synchronising the current user data in the PC with the user data saved in an operator server. The management software includes ServiceControl and Widgets. By applying the method of the present invention, the user can use the wireless data terminal service normally without installing the management software, which is advantageous for saving of the user data. Also correspondingly provided is a wireless data terminal management system, including a wireless data terminal and a PC.
