<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a satisfactory image without deteriorating usability and without always having a density deviation by pressurizing transfer means accurately with a simple structure. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming device comprises: an intermediate transfer belt 5 which is an image carrier for carrying a toner image; a secondary transfer roller 13 which is transfer means for transferring the toner image formed on the intermediate transfer belt 5 onto a transfer material; and a pressing unit 40 which is pressure means for pressurizing the secondary transfer roller 13 to the intermediate transfer belt 5, and a device body incorporating at least the secondary transfer roller 13 has an opening and closing cover 30 which is an openable and closable door. Then, the secondary transfer roller 13 is installed so as to hold the opening and closing cover 30 and the pressing unit 40 is installed to the device body. The pressing unit 40 releases the pressure of the secondary transfer roller 13 to the intermediate transfer belt 5 by the opening operation of the opening and closing cover 30 to the device body. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
