<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet printing apparatus capable of printing a fabric while enhancing color development and reducing bleeding without impairing feeling and using a special fabric. <P>SOLUTION: The ink jet printing apparatus comprises a coating liquid depositing part 4 for depositing a coating liquid 3 on one face 2 of a transporting material 1 to be printed and an ink jet type first head 7 for ejecting an ink 6 toward the other face 5 of the material 1 to be printed. The coating liquid depositing part 4 comprises an ink jet type second head 9 for ejecting the coating liquid 3.
