<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical module capable of obtaining an atomic oscillator with high frequency stability. <P>SOLUTION: An optical module 2 of an atomic oscillator 1 using a quantum interference effect has a light source 10 for generating first light L1 including a fundamental wave F with a center wavelength and first sideband wave W1 and a second sideband wave W2 with different wavelengths; wavelength selection means 20 for selecting the first sideband wave W1 and the second sideband wave W2 from the first light L1 and emitting them as second light L2; a gas cell 30 for filling alkali metal gas and emitting the second light L2; and light detection means 40 for detecting a strength of the second light L2 permeated through the gas cell 30. The wavelength selection means 20 has an etalon 20a, and temperature control means 20b for controlling the etalon 20a and a temperature of the etalon. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
