<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contact device that reduces collision noise between a movable member and a fixed member when movable contacts come into contact with fixed contacts. <P>SOLUTION: Upon energization of a coil 13, a movable iron core 17 is moved in a direction toward a fixed iron core 15, and movable contacts 31 provided in a movable contactor 29 that is moved integrally with the movable iron core 17 are brought into contact with fixed contacts 35. A shock-absorbing sheet 22 is arranged in a flat portion 15b1 of a depression 15b, of the fixed iron core 15, which faces the movable iron core 17.
