<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical connector member capable of reducing weight by using a resin material and of reducing transmission loss of optical communication even when used in a wide temperature range (approximately -40°C to 125°C) and to provide a manufacturing method of the optical connector member. <P>SOLUTION: An optical connector member 1 comprises two ferrules 2 which are respectively provided at an end of different optical fiber cables and a sleeve 3 of a cylindrical shape which fits and holds the ferrules 2 coaxially butted inside the cylinder inner peripheral surface 3c. The ferrules 2 and the sleeve 3 are molded bodies of a resin composition containing a filler material. In at least the fitting and holding part of the ferrules 2 and the sleeve 3, the orientation of the filler material A in the ferrules 2 and the orientation of the filler material B in the sleeve 3 are both aligned with the axial direction and the difference between linear expansion coefficients (average linear expansion coefficients from -40°C to 125°C) of the ferrules 2 and the sleeve 3 is within ±5×10<SP POS="POST">-6</SP>/°C. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
