<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a panel speaker which is capable of reducing sounds propagated to the backside in a state of being installed on a building frame. <P>SOLUTION: A panel speaker 1 includes a diaphragm 2, an exciter 3, an auxiliary speaker 4, and a control unit. The diaphragm 2 is formed like a plane plate. The exciter 3 vibrates the diaphragm 2 to generate sounds. A direction in which sounds generated by vibration of the diaphragm 2 are taken out is defined as a front direction A1. The auxiliary speaker 4 is provided in a backward direction A2 opposite to the front direction A1 to generate sounds in the backward direction A2. The control unit controls the auxiliary speaker 4 so that sounds for canceling sounds generated in the backward direction A2 by vibration of the diaphragm 2 are generated from the auxiliary speaker 4 in the backward direction A2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
