The brake (10) has an armature plate (12) arranged in a linearly movable manner and releasably and mechanically lockable in a position by a locking device at an electroless brake coil i.e. coil winding. A disk-shaped magnetic body (14) is magnetized by the coil. Spring elements are arranged between the plate and the body. The spring elements exert spring force on the plate, where the spring force acts on the plate opposite to attractive force induced by the body during energizing the coil. A retaining bolt (28) is designed as a punched bending part made of magnetizable material. An independent claim is also included for an electromotor.
