The freewheel has clamping elements (3) in the form of rolls, which comprise inner star rotatable outer ring (1) arranged radially around the inner star (6). The clamping elements are arranged between the inner star and the outer ring and are acted upon in the direction of inner star by the radially inwardly acting spring force of a spring damper (2). Each clamping element is provided with an individual spring and is subjected to damping near self-locking through the spring damper.
