An acoustic device (20) for a vehicle is configured from a pressure sensor (21) for detecting the acoustic pressure of the suction noise of an engine (12) and for outputting said acoustic pressure as an acoustic pressure signal, a signal processing unit (23) for changing the acoustic pressure signal in accordance with the operational state of an automobile (10), and speakers (26a, 26b) for outputting the acoustic pressure signal as the suction noise of the engine (12). The pressure sensor (21) is disposed on a section of a suction duct (15) for connecting an air cleaner (16) with a throttle body (17), the aforementioned section being in the vicinity of an air flow meter (18) closer to the air cleaner (16) than to the center of the suction duct (15).
