<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To forcibly stop an electric tool when a motor current exceeds a threshold to secure safety, and also prevent work efficiency from being reduced accordingly. <P>SOLUTION: This electric tool includes a motor 3, a main switch 1 for turning on power to be supplied to the motor 3, a current detection means for detecting the current value of the motor 3, an output adjustment switch 2 for adjusting the rotational output of the motor 3, and a control means for forcibly stopping the motor 3 when the result obtained by the current detection means exceeds a predetermined threshold.
