<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid such a state that the direction of light irradiation is shifted into a direction different from a direction to be directed primarily, in the case of controlling the direction of light irradiation, based on the direction of extension lane that is detected by the use of acquired data. <P>SOLUTION: In a headlamp ECU, an irradiation direction controller determines a target swivel angle according to the detected direction of extension lane, and executes the lane following control to control a swivel actuator so as to bring the direction of light irradiation by a vehicle headlamp close to the target swivel angle. A travelling direction estimator estimates the travelling direction of the vehicle, using the detected face direction of a driver and navigation information. An irradiation direction controller stops the execution of lane following control and switches it into steering angle following control, in case that a difference between the travelling direction of the vehicle, which is estimated by using the face direction of the driver and the navigation information, and the detected direction of the extension lane fulfills specified conditions, in execution of the lane following control. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
