Laryngo-stroboscopy system for visualizing voting folds vibration of larynx of patient during speaking, has control device adjusting pulse duty factor as variable based on ratio of pulse width to pulse period duration of light source

The system has a stroboscopic light source (1) i.e. LED, for illuminating voting folds of a larynx of a patient. An oscillation receiver (3) receives vocal cord vibration, where light pulses i.e. square-wave impulses, of the light source are synchronized to the vocal cord vibration using a control device (2). The control device controls lightness, pulse width and pulse period duration of the light source and adjusts a pulse duty factor as an actuating variable based on a ratio of the pulse width to the pulse period duration. An independent claim is also included for a method for controlling a laryngo-stroboscopy system.
