PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile communication device and a personal information protection method that prevent personal information from being identified controlling transmission of information within a particular area (around home and around a working place).

SOLUTION: A mobile communication device is provided in a mobile body, and comprises a control unit which controls transmission of mobile information of the mobile body performed via a communication unit based on a protection range where the position of a protection point defined discretionary via an operation unit is used as reference and a current position of the mobile body detected by a current position detection unit which detects the current position of the mobile body.
