<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid ejecting apparatus that can improve the liquid ejection characteristics by heating the ejected liquid to a desired temperature. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid ejecting apparatus includes: a liquid ejection head 3 that includes a nozzle to eject the liquid droplet; and a cap member 13 that touches the liquid ejection head 3 to cover surroundings of the nozzle.
