A nonaqueous electrolyte battery includes: a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and a nonaqueous electrolyte containing a nonaqueous electrolytic solution, wherein the nonaqueous electrolytic solution contains a compound represented by the following general formula (I) wherein, in the general formula (I), each of R1 to R4 independently represents a group having a hydrocarbon group having at least one aromatic ring and at least one unsaturated bond or a hydrogen atom, provided that at least one of R1 to R4 is a group having a hydrocarbon group having at least one aromatic ring and at least one unsaturated bond; and each of A and B independently represents a carbonyl group, a sulfonyl group, or a methylene group, provided that at least one of A and B is a carbonyl group or a sulfonyl group.
