The linkage (4) has a C-shaped pillar rod (6) that is pivotally mounted about a fixed bearing point (10) of an assembly unit (11) of vehicle (1). A clamp (7) is connected to a fabric cover (3), for opening and closing a hood (2) between lowered and lifted positions. A striker rod assembly (8) for supporting the clamp on pillar rod, is comprised of lower and upper striker rods (13,14) mounted at clamp and C-shaped pillar rod. The striker rods are relatively adjusted by an actuator (9) on pillar and striker rods, to adjust the clamp between lowered and lifted positions.
