The holding assembly has a retaining element by which a covering element is held on a shell element. A tolerance compensation element (20) is provided between the retaining element and the covering element, which compensates the tolerances relative to the covering element. A gap is provided partially between the tolerance-compensating element and the covering element in a direction of movement between the covering element and the tolerance compensation element. An independent claim is also included for a modular system for producing a holding assembly.
