<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photodetection device capable of more inexpensively and quickly detecting a plurality of types of beams from a paper sheet, and to provide a paper sheet processing apparatus including a photodetection device. <P>SOLUTION: A photodetection device includes: an illumination part for irradiating a paper sheet with light; a sensor for detecting light and generating a signal; a lens for imaging the light from the paper sheet on the sensor; and a reflection member arranged so that two light beams out of diffuse reflection light, regular reflection light, diffusion transmission light, and direct transmission light of the light emitted from the illumination part and illuminating the paper sheet are imaged on different areas of the sensor by the lens. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
