<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily specify related information for checking an original document. <P>SOLUTION: A signature system 100 including a signature device generates still image information with respect to respective frames in video information 101, respectively. When generating the still image information, the signature system 100 writes meta information including an ID and a frame number of the video information 101 in an expansion area in accordance with an image format which is in a still image information file storing still image information. After the writing, the signature system 100 generates digest information from the still image information file where the meta information is written.
