<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable throat device for capacity adjustment of an air compressor preventing decrease in discharge flow rate due to increase in pressure loss caused by opening and closing included in an existing inlet guide vane and increase in a fatigue load of an impeller of a compressor caused by a non-normal flow. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of variable throat parts 100 arranged so as to overlap with each other along a circular trace and capable of changing an inner diameter are installed at an atmosphere suction flow channel of a compressor. Flow rate control is performed by applying external force and changing a sectional area of the flow channel. Accordingly, the generation of vortex in an air stream is suppressed, and the possibility of non-normal flow is significantly reduced. The design flow rate is secured without pressure loss, and suction flow is stabilized. The fatigue load applied to an impeller of the compressor is reduced, and vibration of the impeller is significantly reduced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
