<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical scanning device capable of correcting nonlinearity of current-light quantity characteristics of a multi-beam to a semiconductor laser, while simplifying a circuit configuration. <P>SOLUTION: An optical scanning device 2 includes a laser control device 12 that controls a light intensity detected by a PD unit 14 for making the light quantity of a semiconductor laser 11 a predetermined light quantity. The laser control device 12 includes: an approximate expression calculating circuit 48 that calculates n-order approximate expression (n≥2) of the current-light quantity characteristics based on a light quantity value obtained by emitting predetermined laser beam out of LD1-LD4 of the semiconductor laser 11, by a plurality of constant currents generated by a constant current generating circuit 46, and calculating a light emission starting current of the semiconductor laser 11 from the n-order approximate expression: and bias current calculating circuits a55-d85 for generating a bias current from the current value obtained by the light quantity control other than the predetermined laser beam and the n-order approximate expression obtained by the approximate expression calculating circuit 48. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
