<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To create an on-demand material with highly flexible subjects by utilizing normal writing operations of a student. <P>SOLUTION: When a student A writes a Japanese exercise text in a Japanese entry column and a corresponding translation in a foreign language entry column on an exercise entry sheet 110 by an electronic pen 120, respectively, its handwriting image is transmitted to a lecturer unit 200 via a network N. A correction screen display unit 230 displays a screen including the handwriting image to a lecturer B. The lecturer B inputs correction information via a correction information input unit 240. A teaching material image creation unit 330 creates a teaching material image laying out the handwriting image and the correction information to output the created teaching material image as a teaching material T in a booklet from a teaching material output unit 320. The handwriting image is converted into character data by an OCR unit 340, and related words and examples are extracted from a word dictionary 350 and integrated into the teaching material image.
