<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic key and an electronic key system which can notify a user that the electronic key is not in a good condition and can secure convenience of the electronic key. <P>SOLUTION: An electronic key is capable of ID collation by any of smart communication which starts radio communication with a vehicle in response to communication from the vehicle, or wireless communication which starts radio communication with the vehicle in response to communication by the key itself, and with the ID collation being successful, a door lock and an engine can be operated. The electronic key comprises: a battery voltage determination part for determining whether the voltage of a battery is a predetermined value or lower; a button operation detector for detecting that an unlocking button or a locking button operated in executing the wireless communication is operated; and an AFE operation controller for stopping smart communication receiving operation while the wireless communication is kept valid, and for resuming the smart communication receiving operation only for a predetermined time T when the button operation detector detects the operation of the button. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
