ARTIFICAL MICRO-STRUCTURE AND METAMATERIAL USING THE SAME

The present invention provides an artifical micro-structure which consists of lines made of a conductive material. The artifical micro-structure includes a split ring and two curved lines which extend curvingly towards the inside of the split ring from the two ends of the split ring respectively, do not intersect each other and do not intersect the split ring. If the artifical micro-structure of the present invention was used in a metamaterial, it is possible to reduce the volume of the artifical micro-structure obviously and to be helpful for the miniaturization of product. At the same time, it is possible to increase the absolute value of the negative permeability of the metamaterial to meet the requirements to negative permeability in special conditions. Additionally, the present invention also provides a metamaterial having the artifical micro-structure as above described.
