The manufacturing installation for bulk products basically has a feed side (10) for the raw material, a processing unit for the latter, and an output side (30) for the processed products (38). In installations with high output, the individual units of the installation run at very high speed, which causes wear and, consequently, process disturbances. The object is therefore that the installation units that run at particularly high speed are slowed down, without thereby reducing the output. In the example of an installation for producing cotton buds, this object is achieved by reducing the speed on the primary side and increasing the loading. If the speed of the primary chain is halved and the loading of blanks and cotton is doubled, this results in the same output at substantially lower speed. |
