The present patent is intended to increase road safety, in particular for people with special needs (the elderly and color blind), characterized in that the traffic lights emit yellow and green light radiation to be perceived by the human eye with flat or three-dimensional geometric shapes other than circles. In short, the basic principle of the innovations protected by this patent, some of the possible embodiments of which are described above, is the alteration of the luminous geometric shape generated by the traffic lights and perceived by people, i.e. the three colors (red, yellow and green) are currently seen as equal circles, and the present patent proposes changing this model by altering the shape of this light radiation as perceived by the human eye. The basic concept involves keeping the "red" (stop) standard unchanged and changing the perception of the shape emitted by the sources emitting yellow and green.
