<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source device using light-emitting diodes and solid light-emitting elements, as well as a projector capable of projecting projection images with higher luminance with the use of the light source device. <P>SOLUTION: In the projector provided with the light source device, a light guide device, a display device, a projection side optical system, and a projector control means, the light source device is equipped with a blue-color light-emitting diode 161B as a first light source 153 for converting electric energy into excitation light, and a fluorescent matter 169 formed in a flat plate shape as a second light source 154 receiving emission light from the first light source 153 for emitting light of spectral distribution different from the emission light from the first light source 153, and an area of an emission region of the first light source 153 is formed more widely than that of the second light source 154. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
