METHOD OF PRODUCING ORGANOPOLYSILOXANE, COMPOSITION FOR PHOTOSEMICONDUCTOR DEVICE, AND PHOTOSEMICONDUCTOR DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing an organopolysiloxane used for a composition for photosemiconductor device, by which the composition for photosemiconductor device the surface of which is little sticky can be obtained.

SOLUTION: The method of producing the organopolysiloxane includes: a step of obtaining a mixed liquid formed by mixing an organopolysiloxane component with a protonic organic solvent, wherein the organopolysiloxane component contains a high-polymerization-degree organopolysiloxane having >10 silicon atoms and a low-polymerization-degree organopolysiloxane having ≤10 silicon atoms; and a step of separating the mixed liquid into a first layer that contains more high-polymerization-degree organopolysiloxane than a second layer and the second layer that contains more low-polymerization-degree organopolysiloxane than the first layer, and thereafter separating the first layer to obtain the organopolysiloxane contained in the first layer.
