<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning and filling liquid for a liquid ejection device and an ink cartridge, the liquid having a low-foaming property, excellent wetting and cleaning properties, and an excellent ink filling property after cleaning, to provide a cartridge, and to provide a method for cleaning an inkjet recorder. <P>SOLUTION: This cleaning and filling liquid is adapted to clean liquid fluid channels of a liquid ejection device and an ink cartridge used therein.
