<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid ejection head prevented from clogging of a filter when collecting dust and foreign matter in liquid, and stably ejecting liquid without reducing a liquid flow rate after collecting dust, and to provide a method for manufacturing the liquid ejection head. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid ejection head includes a nozzle tip that includes: a coating resin layer having a plurality of ejection ports for ejecting liquid, and a liquid passage communicating with each ejection port; and a substrate that has an energy generating element for generating energy for ejecting liquid, and a liquid supply port communicating with the liquid passage. A filter layer is formed between the liquid supply port and the liquid passage, and the filter layer has: a through-hole that has an opening diameter not larger than an ejection port diameter for securing a liquid flow rate; and dust collecting protrusions formed of tapered structures arranged on the liquid supply port side rather than the through-hole, with their tips for collecting dust in the liquid being placed on the liquid supply port side. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
