<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of avoiding efficiency degradation during operation of continuous image formation and preventing developer on a developer carrier from being fused due to excessive rise of temperature, without calculation of estimating the temperature of the developer carrier and the developer in a developing unit. <P>SOLUTION: Temperature inside or around a developing unit, which changes depending on the temperature of a developer carrier is detected, and based on the detection result, restriction and release of the restriction for page number of which continuous image formation can be performed are controlled. For example, when the detection temperature T by temperature detection means becomes equal to or above temperature threshold T1, the page number of which the continuous image formation can be performed is limited to a predetermined page number L or less. After that, when the detection temperature T becomes under preset temperature threshold T2 in an intermittent printing operation mode, the restriction of the page number of which the continuous image formation can be performed is released. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
