<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the deformation of a platen roller when a roller holder having the platen roller and a side sensor is pressure-attached to a tape cassette, in a tape printer, in which a kind of the tape cassette can be detected by the side sensor. <P>SOLUTION: When performing printing by using a thermal head (3 of S16), cassette detection processing (S13, S15) is performed. In the cassette detection processing (S13, S15), the roller holder is brought into in a state of being pressure-attached to the tape cassette which is attached to a cassette attachment part, the roller holder is also brought into a state of being released from the tape cassette attached to the cassette attachment part after the kind of the tape cassette is detected by the side sensor, and the tape printer is brought into a standby state. By this, since the platen roller attach to the roller holder is not continued to pressure-contacting with the thermal head, the deformation of the platen roller can be reduced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
