<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the damage of a load sensor even when an overload is applied. <P>SOLUTION: A pressing-type input device comprises: a load sensor 2 which outputs a signal according to an operation load; an arm part 12 which transmits the operation load to the load sensor 2; a spring part 13 which is bent over so as to cause the load sensor 2 to generate an initial load; and a base part 11 which is provided with a support part 15 for supporting the arm part 12. The operation load applied to the arm part 12 causes force to be applied to the arm part 12, with the support part 15 as a fulcrum, in a direction to reduce the initial load on the load sensor 2.
