METHOD FOR DETERMINING A VACUUM VALUE IN A VACUUM SYSTEM OF A VEHICLE

Disclosed is a method for determining a vacuum value in a vacuum system used for feeding a brake booster in a vehicle. In said method: - the brake pedal travel is measured; - the corresponding brake pedal force is determined from the brake pedal travel using known brake system parameters; - the hydraulic brake pressure is measured; - an input force of the brake booster is determined from the brake pedal force; - an output force of a brake booster is determined from the measured hydraulic brake pressure; - the vacuum level in the vacuum system is determined from the input force and the output force.
