<p>[Problem] The purpose of the invention is to provide a molding endcap for which the force needed to pull the endcap out of a molding body is high even as assembly of the endcap onto the molding body is easy, and which has good anti-rattling properties. [Solution] The endcap, which is installed on the end of a molding body and comprises an end part that closes the open end of the molding body and an inserted part that protrudes from said end part and is inserted into the opening of said molding body, is characterized in that: the molding body comprises an outward surface and a folded part that is folded back from said outward surface toward the inside of the back surface; a protruding locking projection is formed on either the inserted part of said endcap or the folded part of the molding body, and the other has a hooking part on which are formed an insertion slope, which is for sliding and elastically deforming the locking projection in a direction orthogonal to the direction of insertion the further the inserted part of the end cap is inserted into the opening of the molding body, and a notch that is deeper than said insertion slope, the hooking part being for hooking said locking projection in an elastically restored state; and said locking projection is a rib shape that is not easily deformed in the forward and backward direction of the insertion direction but is easily elastically deformed in a direction orthogonal to the direction of insertion.</p> |
