Provided is a fluorine-containing elastomer composition which is capable of improving the foaming state and the physical properties of a fluorine-containing rubber foam when the fluorine-containing rubber foam is produced by foaming and crosslinking a fluorine-containing elastomer using an organic peroxide as a crosslinking agent. A fluorine-containing rubber foam is produced by foaming and crosslinking a fluorine-containing elastomer composition which contains 0.1-20 parts by mass of a foaming agent and 0.05-10 parts by mass of a crosslinking agent that is composed of a peroxide compound per 100 parts by mass of a fluorine-containing elastomer, while containing no crosslinking assistant or containing a crosslinking assistant, which is composed of a compound having two or more carbon-carbon double bond-containing groups in each molecule, in an amount of 0.3 part by mass or less.
