摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control an amount of fuel supply to a fuel battery without using a concentration sensor while factoring in its power generation performance. <P>SOLUTION: A fuel battery system comprises: a fuel battery 1 whose output characteristic varies with the change in an amount of fuel supply; and a fuel battery system control ECU 12 having power-generation-performance-calculating means; control means; and determination means. The power-generation-performance-calculating means calculates a power generation performance of the fuel battery 1 from the output characteristic of the fuel battery 1. Based on the determination about the change in the power generation performance by the determination means when the amount of fuel supply is changed by the control means of the fuel battery system control ECU 12, the control means changes the amount of fuel supply of the fuel battery 1 so as to dilute a fuel in concentration within a range where a desired power generation performance can be obtained. The fuel battery system has a structure reduced in cost by eliminating the need for a concentration sensor. The fuel battery system automatically controls the fuel concentration of the fuel battery 1 by regulating the fuel concentration to a dilute optimum fuel concentration which allows the achievement of the desired power generation performance. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
