<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting device which causes only small color unevenness. <P>SOLUTION: A plate like transparent member 18 is disposed on a fluorescent material containing resin layer 14. A part of excitation light is directly emitted upward from an end surface of the fluorescent material containing resin layer 14 without passing through the transparent member 18. This structure mixes fluorescent light mainly emitted from an area near an end surface of the transparent member 18 with the excitation light directly emitted from the end surface of the fluorescent material containing resin layer 14 without passing through the transparent member 18 and reduces color unevenness in the area near the end surface of the transparent member 18. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
