METHOD FOR DRIVING INDUCTION MOTOR, DRIVE UNIT, AND INVERTER DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for driving an induction motor, which drives (starts) a rotator of the induction motor with high torque when the rotator is in a stop state or a low-speed rotation state, a drive unit, and an inverter device.

SOLUTION: In a state in which a steady electric current imflows through stator winding so that a stator of an induction motor can generate a magnetic field in a prescribed direction when a rotator of the induction motor is in a stop state or a low-speed rotation state, the stator winding is supplied with an excitation current that generates a secondary current i2so as to generate a magnetic field orthogonal to the magnetic field in the prescribed direction, and the induction motor is driven with high-output torque.
