<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for driving an induction motor, which drives (starts) a rotator of the induction motor with high torque when the rotator is in a stop state or a low-speed rotation state, a drive unit, and an inverter device. <P>SOLUTION: In a state in which a steady electric current i<SB POS="POST">m</SB>flows through stator winding so that a stator of an induction motor can generate a magnetic field in a prescribed direction when a rotator of the induction motor is in a stop state or a low-speed rotation state, the stator winding is supplied with an excitation current that generates a secondary current i<SB POS="POST">2</SB>so as to generate a magnetic field orthogonal to the magnetic field in the prescribed direction, and the induction motor is driven with high-output torque. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
