<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for an optical module that enables positioning optically with high accuracy between optical elements regardless of elastic return of joining bumps. <P>SOLUTION: A manufacturing method for an optical module (1) includes the steps of: forming joining bumps (19) made up of metal on a substrate (10); and, after such a load is applied so that the joining bumps (19) deform by a prescribed amount (F) further than the position at which a first optical element (20) and a second optical element (30) are optically coupled most efficiently, releasing the load and joining the second optical element on the joining bumps. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
